As it stands there is no legal obligation to list ingredients in products, what campaigners are arguing is that we deserve such knowledge. Ultimately we deserve to know what we're using especially if issues such as the high use of plastic are absorbing into us.
The petition was started by a 17 year known as the face behind 'Love Your Period' a highly successful and influential campaign for all to indeed, love their periods. Their petition now accepted by the official UK parliament petitions page, has now more than 300 signatures and rising. However, by April 2020 it needs more than 10,000 signatures.
If this is successful this can be another major step in the right direction of period dignity and period rights.
Take a minute to sign this petition to make manufacturers publish what materials make up their menstrual products to allow consumers a real choice when in comes to #periodplastic
